Fat Bastard Chardonnay & Shiraz

4 grapes

Whether it got its name from that friendly hippo named Fat Bastard in the local zoo , or a play on the name Batard-Montrachet, which is a Grand Cru from Burgundy's Cote d'Or, or even from Thierry Boudinaud, the winemaker who commented upon tasting "This is a fat bastard of a wine!", Fat Bastard, born in 1997, is already one of the most recognisable names in Alberta. With both a lovely, fresh, yet rich Chardonnay and a spicy, blackberry Shiraz flavours on the market, both

wines offer great values for quality taste. These wines are from the Languedoc region of France with soft oak presence to allow the rich outstanding fruit to emerge and take hold. And take hold they do!

The Purple Feet Rating System:

5 grapes = spectacular
4 grapes = delicious
3 grapes = yummy
2 grapes = okay
1 grape = awkward
