2001 Paringa Shiraz

4 grapes

The 2001 Shiraz is a flavourful, full-bodied, fruit-driven Shiraz. It offers a dark purple colour, surprising volume and intensity, abundant quantities of cassis fruit, no oak, and plenty of fat and glycerine in its velvety-textured, mouth filling, friendly style. Rather grapey aromas of cherry and pepper. Finishes with soft tannins and a hint of mint. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

This Shiraz is considered to be one of the best values in the marketplace today. The 2001 received 90 points by The Wine Spectator.

The Purple Feet Rating System:

5 grapes = spectacular
4 grapes = delicious
3 grapes = yummy
2 grapes = okay
1 grape = awkward
