1998 Sandhill Chardonnay

4 grapes

It certainly seems that Howard Soon of Calona has that famous Midas touch. This was first proven when Calona won the Avrey Trophy for their Calona Artists Series Chardonnay. Now he proves it again with his Sandhill Chardonnay 1998, which has recently won Gold Medal at Intervin in Montreal. With grapes from the Burrowing Owl Vineyards, Howard Soon has created a small sister gem to its BOV counterpart. With wonderful hints of apple, melon and mango; a rich mid palate of elegant oak and a round buttery finish, this little gem is not to be missed!

The Purple Feet Rating System:

5 grapes = spectacular
4 grapes = delicious
3 grapes = yummy
2 grapes = okay
1 grape = awkward
