2000 Gewurztraminer - Mount Boucherie - VQA Okanagan, Canada

4 grapes

Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery is BC's newest estate winery and their wines certainly don't disappoint.

The one I was most impressed with is their 2000 Gewurztraminer which I recently tasted at the Pacific Rim Wine Carousel Event held at the Edmonton Petroleum Club on March 16, 2002.

From the very beginning, there are wonderful bursts of peach, mango and papaya flavours that make your mouth beg for more. A terrific balance that ends with a 'smile' to the taste buds. A must for spring and summer.

Mt. Boucherie Gewürztraminer 2000 received a Silver Medal at the 2001 Okanagan Fall Wine Festival Judging.

The Purple Feet Rating System:

5 grapes = spectacular
4 grapes = delicious
3 grapes = yummy
2 grapes = okay
1 grape = awkward
