2000 Riesling, Reserve VQA - Henry of Pelham

4 grapes

Aromas of rose petals, apple, citrus and spice will entice the palate. Elegant and aromatic with the vitality of fruit crispness, balanced by a slight residual sweetness on the palate. Food Matches: Rich seafood, pasta with white sauce.

Winemakers' Notes:
Traditionally, this wine has been at least 80% from our own estate at Henry of Pelham, the 2000 vintage fitting that tradition at 87% estate. Our approach has always been to show the quality of this wine by allowing the grape's distinctive and vineyard specific characteristics to present themselves, without a lot of winemaking technique or manipulation. This wine is vinted with the intention of allowing the more intense acidity and slightly fuller body to harmonize and improve with cellaring over three to eight years.

The Purple Feet Rating System:

5 grapes = spectacular
4 grapes = delicious
3 grapes = yummy
2 grapes = okay
1 grape = awkward
