1999 Picpoul de Pinet - Domaine Castelnau - Coteaux de Languedoc

In a past article on spring tradeshows I had written that Domaine Castelnau created some very interesting wines. Here again is proof.

This wine is just sumptuous for the upcoming summer months. Rich golden in colour much like a late harvest wine, this wine bursts from the start with savoury apricot, peach and spiced apple fruit. Deliciously dry with wonderful acid balance and rich and round textures, the mouth feel continues well after the wine has been enjoyed.

Think barbecue fish or Asian cusine. A great wine for summer. Don't miss out.
