2001 Tanoa Blanc - Casa Lapostolle - Chile

4 grapes

CSPC #708493
Suggested Retail: 24.95

While we think of Chardonnay as the Queen of white grapes and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc as the great blend for Bordeaux whites, the combination of all three may bring apprehension and doubts to one's mind. Well, put your mind at rest and simply enjoy. Casa Lapostolle have indeed created such a wonderful match for its very first vintage. Wonderfully smooth with great elegance and balance. What I really enjoyed was the delicate balance between the rich Chardonnay nose (pear and fig) the fleshy Semillon (spice and fatty textures) and the Sauvignon Blanc (crisp and fresh). A most satisfying glass or two! A very new product for Alberta which should be on every restaurant's wine list.
