For your New Year Celebrations

Segura Viudas - CSPC #558825

4.5 grapes

While Segura Viudas dates back to the 11th century it was only at the end of the 19th century, that the region became aware of the potential of the various indigenous varieties and the first steps were taken in the application of the traditional method, the winery produced its first sparkling wines.

Segura Viudas became a brand in 1950, but it was not until 1969 when it began to market its wines, whose quality stood out from the very first moment. Later on, the installations were equipped with advanced technology with ensures perfection to the process. The passage of time has favoured us and the notable prestige of the brand has grown even more in recent years. It is hard to find a wine-producing firm that has accumulated so much international recognition in such a short time.

Segura Viudas Heredad Reserva is produced with wines from the best harvests using 67% Macabeo and 33% Parellada varieties. The high percentage of Macabeo preserves its youth during its long ageing while the strong ageing aroma in the bottle, shows a perfect combination between sugar and acidity. Potent in the mouth and elegant on the palate with a long finish. Best served at a temperature of 8-9º C. A great substitute for the more expensive French Champagnes.
